Reflecting on 2025 for Allegheny Independent Media

The end of the year is a time for reflecting on 2025 for Allegheny Independent Media. We have had 68 posts this year on a variety of issues in the Allegheny Mountains. By comparison there were 50 posts in 2024, a 36% increase. We had 11 posts by Lyrical Capo, 3 posts by Jackie Allison 2 posts by Nancy Coleman, and one by Denise Miller this year. This gives a total of 17 posts by others than yours truly.

We had over 15,000 page views from over 9,500 for 1.62 views per visitor. This is a 125% increase in page views, a 100% increase in visitors, and a 12% increase in page views per visitors compared to 2024.

In the chart above we correspondingly see that the traffic on the site dramatically increased in recent months. The top 10 posts of the year are being listed on the social media sites Facebook, Reddit, X, Blue Sky, LinkedIn, and Substack one by one. Finally, the top 2 posts will be revealed on New Year’s Eve. Some posts from previous years still get a lot of traffic such as the one on 16 of the 20 poorest school districts being in the Alleghenies and the one on the Evergreen White Nationalist Group in Bedford, PA.

In the coming year we will seek to build on the traffic gains made this year. We also look to be expanding our reach to other parts of the Alleghenies. We are always looking for new contributors.
