There are three candidates for Johnstown Mayor: Democrat Sylvia King and Republicans John DeBartola and Chuck Arnone (write in candidate). These candidates will be debating on WJAC TV on October 16.

Both parties have a full slate of candidates for for the four seats on Johnstown City Council. The 3 of the 4 Democrats were on the panel. The other Democrat, Samuel Barber, was not at the Johnstown Democratic Candidate forum. The four Republican candidates are Mike Hamacek, Nicholas Spinelli, Joseph Taranto, and Charlene Stanton.

Last fall Donald Trump won the City of Johnstown for the first time by 168 votes. This may be why the Republicans are running a full slate of candidates in Johnstown this year.
