From homelessness to home ownership, the Cambria County Housing Summit

Cambria County Housing Summit proved that when a community comes together, moreover, transformation isn’t just possible. Magellan Healthcare hosted the Cambria County Housing Summit at Ace’s in Historic Cambria City, Johnstown, PA.

Basically, community organizations such as Breaking the Barriers and several more joined forces to educate and empower attendees. Vision 2025’s Executive Director, Rob Forcey, discussed upcoming grants and funding opportunities for home repairs and revitalization. From homelessness to home ownership, the Cambria County Housing Summit

Forcey also shared plans to build and rehabilitate new homes, continuing to uplift the city’s housing landscape. Moreover, keynote speakers provided crucial education on topics like landlord-tenant relations, housing discrimination, and disability cases. Local advocate Ernest Hairston moved the audience with his testimony of overcoming homelessness and reclaiming stability through faith and perseverance. The summit wasn’t just an event—it was a reminder that home is where hope begins. The resources are here. The support is here. And together, the Johnstown community is rebuilding—one story, one home, one life at a time. Hence, if someone you know is struggling with housing challenges, reach out.
