Last Sunday I went to a Cambria Democratic 2024 election kickoff mixer at the Boulevard Grill in Johnstown. Speakers included Congressional Candidate Beth Farnham and State Treasurer Candidate Erin McClelland. Auditor General candidate Malcolm Kenyatta could not make it to the event. For some reason, the video of the event is taking a long time to be processed by YouTube. Hopefully it will be visible soon.
Also present were representatives for State Attorney General candidate Eugene DePasquale, for the other State Treasurer Candidate Ryan Bizzarro (the endorsed candidate) and for State Rep Frank Burns. A rep for Burns asked me not to include the speaker for Burns in the above video. That speaker was former State Senator John Wozniak.
Hopefully, I will have interviews for the site with Farnham, McCllelland, and DePasquale on zoom. With the Presidential election looming, the Cambria Democratic 2024 Mixer is an important first step. Once again This region will be hotly contested.
Burns’ seat is hotly contested with groups funded by Jeff Yass running ads against him. Challenging Burns is Cambria County Chamber of Commerce president and former WJAC reporter Amy Bradley. She may be a more formidable opponent than either Jerry Carnicella or Renae Billow. Control of the PA state house is at stake.
