On Friday there was a successful rally for Palestine in Johnstown. It was part of a series of nationwide protests listed in the website Shut it down for Palestine. Put People First PA organized the event. There was a variety of speakers including three local Palestinian Americans. There were around 30 attendees with no troublemakers.

While the rally was going on, Central Park in Johnstown was set up for Christmas. Thus there was a Nativity set in the Gazebo behind the speakers. Bethlehem is in the West Bank in the occupied territories.

Since I started posting on the Palestinian issue I have noticed an increase in traffic from Israel with 4 page views from WordPress’s stat counter. According to Google Analytics, all four page views were for the last post, Events in Gaza are Having an Impact Here. Two of the page views were in Tel Aviv and the other two were in the city of Yavne. The views in Tel Aviv lasted for an average 40 seconds while the Yavne views in lasted 0 seconds.

I do not know if these views are coming from the Mossad (Israel’s intelligence service). We will see if this post gets more views from Israel. It was a successful rally for Palestine in Johnstown. Time will tell what impact these actions will have on the war in Gaza.
