Diego Chaves M.D. of Salud para Ninos on Healthcare for Hispanics in Western PA

I have known Dr. Diego Chaves M.D. for more than 20 years since we were both in graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. I helped him with statistics and he has gone on to create Salud Para Ninos, a free clinic for Hispanic children in Pittsburgh. We met via zoom to discuss the health issues specific to the Hispanic/Latinx community in Western Pennsylvania.

Here are tables showing Infant mortality and Life Expectancy in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and the U.S. by ethnicity. On some healthcare measures, Hispanics actually do better than non Hispanic Whites. We discussed these issues in the video below.
