On Tuesday I went to the annual Johnstown Juneteenth Celebration. Because of the heat it was easier to get interviews as the crowds were smaller. I took a 16-minute video which can be seen above. Local NAACP president Alan Cashaw, a representative from Summit Legal Aid, Yamila Audisio and another from the Unity Coalition of the Southern Alleghenies, and various food vendors were interviewed.
State Rep. Candidate Amy Bradley made a stop at the festival when I wasn’t there. She gave out free hot dogs. The full itinerary of events and entertainment can be seen below. The annual Johnstown Juneteenth Celebration had a parade the next day in the heat. Next up I will cover the upcoming Johnstown Pride Event in Central Park this Saturday.
