Local Artificial Intelligence Boot Camp

The captions did not work in parts of the video.

Ten days ago I posted on the potential dangers of artificial intelligence. Then, I was not sure what the direct impact on the area would be. Surprisingly, two days later I saw an event on Meetup.com titled AI (Artificial Intelligence) Boot Camp at the City of Johnstown Entrepreneurship Centre or cojec. The bootcamp was taught by Dr. Mike DiMauro, a professor of digital humanities.

Of primary interest to me was who the attendees were at the Artificial Intelligence Boot Camp. Twenty individuals were signed up on the Meetup page for the event. Among the attendees were the owners of Croyle-Nielsen therapeutics (my employers), a photographer, workers at banks, the owner of the Stone Bridge Brewing Company, and others. Accordingly, they seemed to be interested in what DiMauro had to say.

First, he spoke of his project to finish one of Sophocles plays that we only have partial fragments of today. DiMauro then demonstrated ChatGPT, Wizdom.ai, and a graphic design website. These AI tools were for non coders. He then sidestepped any of the potential negative consequences of AI. Certainly, the presentation and the audience viewing it seemed to provide some indication of provided clues as to where AI will go in the area.
